I really can't sit still now that I've been exposed to traveling. What can I say, I'm addicted! Although, the reason I can do it so much is because I try to budget it and spend the lease amount I can on things such as travel, accommodation and food. I'll be heading to Boston with Jams and Jack's family, and from there taking the Megabus to New York. So cheap! There I'll be meeting with 5 amazing kids I met in Fukuoka, and I seriously cannot wait! My mom was complaining that I seem to be putting more effort into the relationships with my friends than my family, but these friends are my family. Besides, she's probably just saying that because I'm not going on the stupid camping trip she's been planning since last year that I said from the beginning I wasn't going on. So, the next post shall be an overview of my awesome trip. Wooo! It feels so good knowing that I don't have to work for a week :D

I've been reminiscing more than I should this weekend! Although, I only just now unpacked the rest of my Japan luggage. I blame my trip to Europe making it take longer than it should have to sort through stuff. I also blame the unpacking, and backing up my about-to-implode-laptop on the nostalgia bombs that have occurred in the past 16 hours. So with that, I scanned and uploaded polaroids I took with the awesome cam I bought in Japan♥ I just hope the film I bought for it lasts me until I can find a good source to get them from again. Vishal told me he has an oldschool polaroid camera that I can pick up from him whenever I want. GETS! Reminds me of the time he said he'd give his punching bag to me for $20 and I thought it was too expensive. DANG I was cheap back in the day. Getting back to the polaroids though, I love the effect is has on the images it captures. I rediscovered wood pencils as well. There's something nostalgic about oldschool items that, for no other reason than being nostalgic, makes you love 'em.
At a nomikai with Abs-sensei a few months ago. MISS THAT SHIT.

Anu: Damn, my hair is so greasy I could oil a wok
Toby: self-lubing? awesome.
Leah: LMAO!!! The imagery I got was you just taking your hair in hand and wiping the shit out of a wok while discussing what you should make for dinner hahaha
Moteeb: ahahaha -- same image ^ --
Cliff: I had Anu putting the wok on her head like a hat, spinning it, then plonking it back down onto the hob before chucking in the niku. Très sexy, my oily amie.
Ezi E: hahaha gross you could slide around on your head like it was butter...and you'd sizzle crack the whole way. be like back when Jerry curls were cool.
Anu: Since there seems to be a Rama rendition of my wok ways, half of me wants to wait for the rest of you kids to comment on my grease. And the other half wants to say, screw you! Though I do make delicious gyoza on the natural oily goodness of my scalp.
Emma: The imagery I got was the same at first, then I read Toby's comment and it went all down hill from there.·
Toby: sorry!!!!!
Toby: err.....i meant 'self-lubing wok' - no need for oil! honest.
Chris: Here Toby take my self lubricating shovel
Toby: Thanks, but I prefer being in the hole - balls deep - without a shovel.
Anu: Gahaha. Last time I'm gonna post anything lube related on here
Toby: apologies.
Siki: ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

I hadn't realized it had been so long since I last blogged. Probably because my life has become work + sleep ): How depressing. I'm scheduled for only two more weeks, so I'll have made some good money by then at least. It might continue in August, but I'm going to say 'hell no!' if they ask me to work for it. Well I might work the first week. Civic holiday = moneeeeey
I went to Ams' place right after work on Friday and had some nice sister time. It's been more than a year since we've had some one-on-one time. We wandered the streets of Toronto and got some nice shashes. I like that she's started to get into photography too, so I have a buddy to take a stroll with and stop randomly at photo ops!
A random car show we discovered while walking in Yorkville. I'm not a car person, but it was a good photo op!
I noticed a nice change of atmosphere while walking down Gay Village. People are more cheerful! I missed the Pride parade on Sunday because I was working ): Made me sad. I love how Toronto always has something going on. We passed by 3 different events going on, all in walking distance from my sister's place. The car show, an African festival thinger, and an art exhibit. Awesome! I can't wait to get out of the suburbs and move there!

Photo spam time! Same ones I uploaded to FB, but most of you don't have me on there! We went to Niagra on the Lake on Friday, which is a town maybe an hour drive from where I live. There lie many wineries of Canada, and a lot of them produce ice wine, which is pretty rare. Only that part of Ontario produces red ice wine, and even white ice wine is quiet expensive. And delicious! I bought a bottle to share with Paul, if shipping costs are too expensive I'll wait for him to have a business trip over here and we'll open it then^^
The gang I went with :D I told them to pose like that, as if they'd do it on their own. My sister and her husband, my parents, and my friend Kyle.
We went to the lakeside of the town and had our lunch there, which we packed beforehand. Woo! Picnic! The weather was beauts, so it was absolutely fine to sit outside for a while and enjoy each other's company.
We went to a couple of wineries, but took a tour at a specific one that my parents liked. On the right is the presser used to make ice wine, it takes the juices from frozen grapes at a certain temperature and uses the juices to make the wine. On the left is one of the tanks where the wine collects during the process. Look at the frost O:
We wandered the town, and I noticed how quaint it was! Although we wandered the downtown where it was well maintained, but I noticed while we were driving and got lost that the houses were also quite cute, well kept with their gardens, and were all built in different shapes and sizes. Somewhere I'd like to retire to.
We got some ice cream from an award winning place called Cows (IT WAS DELICIOUS) And walked around the town while eating it. I ended up giving half of mine to my Mom because it was so rich. While walking through a park, we discovered a Canada Day frisbee, and along with Kyle and Jack, we started playing. It had been so long since we had! Oh childhood.
